Yeah, it's pretty obvious that there's as much WoW in my Diablo as there is, you know, actual Diablo.

But those glorious positive feedback loops are still in place, and I still seem to find myself up at three in the morning while click furiously...just so I can find...a better...weapon.

I still think the decision to move away from skill trees was a stupid move, though. On the one hand, this new "everyone gets everything" system could theoretically help super-casuals, like my mother, ease into the Diablo grind.

On the other hand, the sentence I just typed is the stupidest fucking thing the internet has ever harbored.

Well, I heard the horror stories from damn near everyone I know. There's nothing like waiting over a decade for a game, paying full-price for a game, taking it home...and not getting to play it.

Though, it's been a month since launch and I'm still getting "Error 37..."

Between the majesty of Carmageddon and LAN-multiplayer matches of Duke Nukem 3D, I'm not sure I remember leaving the warm glow of my computer screen during the entirety of '96.

Except to get in some Super Mario 64. I had quotas to meet, after all.
