It’s not his most professional trait, to be sure, but I think this scene plays better if you’re left to imagine what he’s up to for yourself. From Goblaurence’s perspective, getting to work where he’s trusted to deliver miracles, and not managed by people who wouldn’t understand his plans anyway, is essential to his happy ending.

I just think Goblaurence should maybe provide one answer here, which is what he’s trying to accomplish, or which problem he’s trying to help solve, or … you know, just generally what kind of stuff he’d be working on.

Yeah, okay, that comparison was a bit unfair indeed. Let me make another one: Sir Groff seems to be the most insecure member of the council/house/thingie. Especially here, he doesn’t look like he’s the ruler of his people. He talks a bit like Penk on his first day as Champion, to Harky.

Indeed. And Groff has probably lived his entire life under the leadership of the old lady.
Insecurity at this stage is understandable.
And the comparison to Auraugu is just so unfair in all situations :D
