To be honest, I didn’t mind it much when readers were calling for the death of JJ Berten, whom we didn’t even design to be completely hateable but who was a hardened killer in service to evil. So it’s true that this does not apply to all fictional characters in my case. Shanna’s greatest fault, though, is some prejudicial ideas about gamers. That doesn’t really compare. And wishing death upon her for it does a lot more to support her arguments than to discredit them.

I understand your emotion and I don’t enjoy that type of posting myself but your comic is designed to be of interest to the mmo playing audience. Some of whom spend many hours a day happily slaughtering fictional characters, many of whom have a name or a bit of back story (sometimes a lot of story), for resources, just because they are of the opposing faction, because their npc death will INCONVENIENCE a pc of the other faction, just to see if they can…

A few of those who are so hardened as to find this type of talk amusing are bound to come here, read and even comment. I understand how you must feel as they are talking about your creations who are that much more 3 dimensional to you. Imagine how the creators of the beloved childhood edutainment character Barney the Purple Dinosaur felt when they first ran into the song, “We’re gonna barbecue Barney” ?

I like this side of you even though I find it unusual. I wonder would you feel the same if they called for the death of a character you had designed for them to hate? Probably you would. Interesting.

Dinosaur media? Oh please … the printed newspaper have a reputation, tought-out articles, correct spelling and writing, and their very nature makes it mandatory to think before printing.
These so-called “new” media are barely an ersatz. The perfect embodiment of “talk, think after.”

I still think E-merl. The nail in the coffin was the, “gold farming.” In game E-merl’s explanation is that the gold is just going to pay off his wizard school debts. E-merl is a gold farmer.

Look, I don’t think you understand. No one’s protesting your right to find one of our characters annoying. It’s the bellowing for blood like we’re in the Roman Colosseum that’s more than a little… off-putting? I can let one instance go, but if all your posts were like this, I think there’d be a problem.
