Scipio didn’t even really need to be fast; being so low on the cultist totem pole, they probably count a 1/2 HD enemies, so a Fighter Class could hit up to his own XP Level of them in a single combat round.

Those robes would only be what? AC9 at best? He could’ve probably rolled a 5 or higher & still hit them & at 1/2HD, any hit would be fatal anyway.
