I felt kinda sad for Best, in the first panel. If Kingdoms of Arkerra really is just a game, that HR is the creator “god” of, then Best was right on with his assessment.

Since most of us seem to believe that Arkerra actually exists, in an alternate dimension, I feel like, “Ooo… Missed it by that much!”

Of course, it could be that Arkerra, Cyberia, and Sepia World are all three Microsoft Game Studois vaporware, languishing on some mostly forgotten development server, where some developer spends his break time playing god, doing crossovers between the games. Sepia World was set to be a massive, accurate reality simulation. But, it got canned, after its lead developer mysteriously vanished. Turns out, Gates played an early alpha version, and decided that a software company hitman in the game was taking reality a little too far. ;)

I could see the Winter Elves all wearing aluminum foil hats, trying not to read the universe’s mind. Only, the Oracle wouldn’t be allowed to.

Best wouldn’t be the fun(?) kind of butt plug. When Tectonicus awakens from his slumber, he’ll be straining to pass Best, like a bear in Spring, straining to pass its hibernation butt plug.

To misquote Ephesians 2:8-9:

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should ~~boast~~ Best.”

Best doesn’t have much in the way of faith or redeeming values.
