Holy shit. Tectonicus’ heralds spitting fire in here.
They both have some great lyrics and rhythm, but I can *feel* the beat of Penk’s drum in those italics, and it is unrelenting. I have to give this to Penk, and mourn for Harky even as Penk states his love and his mercilessness in the same breath.

I think Harky already knew how that battle would turn out a month before Penk knew it was coming. It was his final lesson to Penk, and his final gift.

Penk learned the lesson and did not squander the gift.

Here, as then, both are eloquent; and their mortal conflict is saturated with mutual respect and kinship.

Both win.
