The phrase “magical doohickey” has stuck with me, although I’m not 100% sure it was from this source.

I’m disappointed that J.K. Rowling never used “Harry Potter and the Magical Doohickey” as a title. It seems such an obvious winner!

I once played a character that, due to the low levels of all the players, ended up being the tank. It was a surprise to me, as she didn’t use weapons or wear armor, but when you’re a Level One ninja nun, Flurry of Blows is almost better than anyone else’s sword or ax at the same level.

And yeah, it did start to feel a bit as if I had to march in first, derringing the doo.

The format seems remarkably like Spider Jerusalem explaining voting in Warren Ellis’ Transmetropolitan.

Or possibly both are references to something else because my cultural knowledge involves a lot of sequential art.
