I don’t know… I see honey used a lot instead of jelly or jam. Or bananas…

Or onions… Those are pretty common too around here.

There’s a tradition in our home. If you don’t like what was cooked, there’s always peanut butter. My Darling Bride likes hers without jam, jelly, honey, etc. I’m happy with any berry concoction except strawberry. Honey and even molasses are good too.

I usually go with just straight peanut butter, myself. But occasionally?
Orange marmalade.

Not just any jelly. Peanut butter and Concord grape jelly. Or jam. My mom made it every fall, and it beats the Welch’s stuff hollow.

I know some people swear by strawberry jam, but that’s Just Not Right.
