I loved the open ending of this short story, it ends with a promising plot hook and sets up something to keep the adventure going.

Isidro’s expression of surprise also reminded me a lot of Chuck Jones’ style for some reason, which I found hilarious. The wide eyes and cute eyelashes mixed with puzzlement brought to my mind images of Tom and Jerry or Susie from the Grinch. A mix of innocence and surprise.

This was a wonderful side adventure that gave us a better look at the savage races and several other tidbits of how things are in Arkerra. I loved it to bits.

Guildenstern, eh? Don’t worry, Isidro; he’ll probably die off-panel.

While confirming that detail, I learned that the name was evidently pretty common in the 16th century in the Norse countries. Also that it means something like “golden star”, which makes it a pretty dope pseudonym (or just straight name) for a Thieves’ Guild leader.
