Your ‘chips’ is wrong. The tall ‘S’ was used at any position except the final letter of a word. There the short ‘s’ was used. That is why the German esset (Tall S/ Short S) was found at the end of words until the restandardization of the language by Martin Luther. See the wikipedia article on ‘ligatures’
While you may be historically correct, I’m pretty sure that in a fantasy realm, the creator can make up whatever grammatical rules he or she wishes :) Loving this so far, by the way.

“Mot muh Mamumet” is “not the amulet” or something similar, I’m sure, but I’m clueless on “Mahmemmy”.
I think its “I already got the amulet” if my mumble recognition skills serve me well.

Those are brand-named chipS, so it’s perfectly acceptable for the large S there. :p
