One thing I love more than anything, is when someone gets slammed by the villain midway through their speech/transformation sequence.
I love the Power Rangers. The original series was the best kids show of all time. But it had way too much of this. The transformation sequences, the waiting for Rita to make the monsters big before summoning the giant dinosaur robots…
Common sense says that those building bombing lasers the monsters fired would be more effective than SPARKY SPARKY on unmorphed Rangers. But no… just send the stupid putties…
Traditionally, berserkers were driven into their killing frenzies by the taste of blood. It makes a good trigger for a conditioned reflex that you don’t want to activate outside of combat. I wonder if this settings berserkers get the blessings of Odin, or an equivalent deity, like the Norse bearsarkers were believed to receive.
This has happend an unsettling amount of times in my groups “Dark Heresy” campaign, “Ok everyone ready?” “Yepp” “Alright let’s do…” *Gunfire/explosion/fire/dynamic entry/warp energy/dumbass team mates* “AH COME ON!!!” XD
P.S No my team mates are not actually dumbasses, it is just that sometimes they (and me) get a little restless and decides to wing it! :)

That’s why you use /Party or /Whisper to set these things up.
Maybe they assumed he was polite enough too let them finish talking and then attack. But it seems like he’s just an asshole like James Bond.
