Maybe it’s the pirate ship in the cave, but I’m getting a real strong Goonies vibe from this story line.

Kid’s got some teeth, to be biting through leather fighting gloves!
He doesn’t need to pentrate the glove to cause pain. Pinching (clamping) can be sufficient.

Depends on the explosive. Nitro just needs a tap to set off. Early dynamite was pretty volatile if not mixed with enough sawdust.

It’s true, dynamite was just a way to stabilize nitro, but made poorly could easily be set off with a bullet. FUN FACT- burning it does nothing.
We need the Myth Busters to test this out.
