		<description>I think, perhaps, despite its historic use, heathen has come to mean more than just a non-follower of Christianity and now means a non-follower of any specified religion or a pagan. 
The English language is constantly being molded and changed by those who use it. As the generations of speakers come and go, certain words are pruned and new words sprout. Syntax changes; Lexicon evolves. A word&#039;s meaning may change while its intent remains.

Perhaps an equivalent of non-Christian is paynim?
