I always assumed it rhymed with leg, and I swear I heard it said as seg, and it’s still weird to me to hear it out loud. My own personal Mandela effect, I guess.

I’ve seen the word segue in print and figured out what it meant, and I’ve heard it spoken and figured out what it meant, but until just now I had no idea it was the same word.

I don’t really have anything to say about the comic (except that Bandit is untagged), but the annotations inspired me to come clean about something:

For the longest time, I thought that “segue” rhymed with “league”. I understood it just fine in writing, but whenever I heard it spoken, I couldn’t make sense of it. “Wait, why did they start talking about Segways all of a sudden? And why didn’t they keep talking about it? It didn’t have anything to do with the rest of the sentence! I demand to know where the Segway came from and where it went!” ^_^
