Today’s texture, “Floating Inks Texture” was provided by Enchantedgal-Stock at deviantart.

Hilarious, and yet eerily similar to some of my old gamer friends. I’m eager to see where this goes.

“Can’t take the HEAT?” would’ve been better/cornier, IMO.

Both that AND the original line are… well… not puns.
Not really jokes of any sort.
They’re just statements. Recursive references or something.

No she is not afraid to play with fire, on account of the fact that she is playing with fire sans fear.
Yes, she can take the heat, on account of taking the heat being what she is actually doing right now.

But even so, I wouldn’t be surprised if they did resort to puns… My time on the Internet has taught me that is a very american thing to do. What the american fascination with puns is, I don’t know… Probably just some cultural phenomenon that my thoroughly alien British brain doesn’t understand.

No, not puns. A vaguely related creature called a double entendre would be my guess. It functions similarly to a pun in that it has a second meaning but without necessarily containing a pun.

Apparently people have begun to confuse anything with multiple meanings other than the obvious one with the idea of a pun. The fact that double/triple entendre’s often do contain puns just further clouds the issue.

And here in the bowels of webcomic commentary, JK9000 attempts to make himself feel a part of the creative process. “I can do it too, guys!” he squeals from the shady corner in the back. Way to GO, JK9000.

I’ll take a perfectly good suggestion over petty putdowns any day. You don’t like the line, fine. That’s no reason to assassinate someone’s character.

    No, no, it’s cool.

I really wanted to know who I had to go to jokes for. Thanks, JK!

I am commenting more on the status of our website/comic/project, not on the details of the fight itself.

Panel 2 is the precise moment when I decided I need to start following this webcomic.

I don’t even remember. Do you get XP for killing summons?
If not, why even bother? Take out the caster, and the summons go too…

All the more reason to get rid of them the easy way. Hit the squishy caster for massive damage, take out all their summons for free!

“Puns!!? You superdick!” should show up more often in the comment threads to this comic.
