I'm pretty sure Bandit knows Scipio well enough to know that he's not really mad at her. He's mad at himself for not being able to protect Fr'Nj, and mad that she had to murder a tree to save everyone, because he was pretty much useless, underground.

He's probably even mad at himself for feeling responsible for her safety, since that's kind of a sexist, patronizing attitude, but at the same time, the way a person should feel about a teammate and/or the one they love.

Love is frustrating, confusing, and wonderful.

Scipio has finally found true love. When they were buried, he didn't know if Fr'Nj was alive or dead. Now he knows she's hurting (inside and out).

I think he deserves a pass on his crankiness. Especially since his female equivalent (Frigg) gets away with more crap before breakfast than he expresses all month.

What's the big guys problem? He's accusing Bandit of "taking credit for this save", when all she did was tell someone to "come on out" as she's literally pulling them out of the pit. And he adds a bash about changing his vote?

Bandit (and everyone else) should stop and deal with that crap immediately. The votes aren't a constant real-time referendum on who's leading, for starters, and anyone who's trying to leverage themselves the "right" of second guessing the leader constantly due to having voted for them needs to get that straight asap.

Secondly, if everyone else doesn't stomp on him for being such a dick then Bandit should immediately turn over leadership to Scipio for the duration of that mission, with the understanding that there will be a new vote when they return to HQ. And when Scipio declines having the immediate leadership thrust upon him (as backseat drivers and second-guessing rear-echelon-m-fers usually will, tell him tough, he can't decline, he's either leading the rest of this mission or it fails.

Bandit (and anyone else leading this squad) needs to remember Rule 1 of leadership: Begin as you intend to continue.

And unless she intends to put up with his attitude, disrespect, and inappropriate blame throwing from now on, she shouldn't put up with it here.

Whats his deal? He got handed the pretty elf girl without having to do anything at all other than look good. He's got no room to complain about his lot in life, not one bit!
