Man... I think this plan economically speaking is just stupid.

The problem has been established to be that the government is rationing healing potions and conscripting healers, making adventurers more dangerous. I don't see how giving the adventurers money will solve this problem.

It will, of course, create an incentive of more profits for adventuring, leading people to become adventurers despite the added dangers, but it doesn't solve the problem of the Gastonian Council limiting the supply of healers and healing potions. In effect, this legislation only serves to encourage adventurers to risk their lives questing without healing supplies.

More people will DIE adventuring because of this.

They need to address the rationing problem, not simply expect more money to magically fix their problems somehow... it doesn't matter if I have more money to pay for medical attention if there is NO medical attention to BUY in the first place!!

I keep thinking this proposal will be killed by fillibuster, resurrected as a rider in an unrelated imperial security act, which is then filibustered until it has been maimed, castrated and disfigured until it is finally approved, then sent to the lower bureaucrats who will misinterpret the provisions either out of stupidity, incompetence, negligence or self-interest.

And later when it inevitably causes more problems than it solves (or not, doesn't matter), it will be criticized by the people who made it fail for the problems they introduced to it in the first place, repealed and basically they have to start over from scratch in five years after spending lots of money, hours or aguing and crated a whole wasted infrastructure around it.

Why do you hate Gastonia? Tide goes in, tide comes out, never a miscommunication, you can't explain that!
