All The Best To The Kuberts.
I feel as if I know the whole family. Adam and Andy Kubert have delighted me with their artwork over the years. But there was nobody like Joe.
There will be many who try to sum up Joe Kubert’s incredible career (this seems like the best effort so far). I’ll simply say that the whole field owes him a massive debt, not only for his inspirational, wildly varied, 73-year career, but more importantly for his notion, decades ahead of its time, that cartoonists could undergo vocational training. Some of the most important lessons I learned, I learned from teachers following the Kubert model. He’ll be missed.
I can’t be too sad about this, because he lived so well and long. It is sad, of course, but the more I think about it the more glad I am that he lived.
Will his interruption be interrupted by a Byron? I think Hoyez…
Whoopsie, yeah cheers :)
@footinmouth hope things get better :(
