Every so often, John and I will disagree about whether partial copy-paste is really warranted or adds anything to the comedic value of the scene. This page is not one of those times: this is definitely Ctrl+V done right.
I will permit myself a little flash of pride at the word “whorenun,” which doesn’t even begin to make sense in an Arkerran context but is so Frigg it hurts. When foul language doesn’t fit the target, hit it with a verbal club until it does.
We were shooting for a fairly complex reaction out of Rachel in the last panel: “mid-eyeroll, as if she knew this would work all along but she didn’t want to have to do it this way.” YMMV.
Well I think John nailed that eye-roll, and added a tiny bit of a smile to boot.
I agree. I think the eye-rolled delivered the message perfectly.
I’m just happy to see that horseshoes are still a thing, even in semi-virtual magickal worlds.
It’s strange seeing her play a game often associated with fuddy duddies, but everyone has quirks.
Frigg is playing horseshoes, because Syr’Nj doesn’t trust her with the hand grenades.
I dunno if that’s right, but it’s close enough.
Or as cheaper practice for the hand grenades… They might be about the same weight…
Aaaand I just saw similarities to that middle finger logo in my actual church’s logo. So, yeah, thanks. Can’t unsee.
