Annotated 3-9
I’d like to say I planned for Sundar’s “children’s entertainer” side gig to be relevant to the story, especially since it sure seems obvious in retrospect that it would be. Maybe it was one of them subconscious things.
There is a note in the script that “we will see these bystanders again, and it’ll be important that they’re male.” But we didn’t and it wasn’t and I honestly don’t know what I was thinking there. Maybe the plan was to make them secret pirates, and Sundar would look into their eyes when Byron leaned on him a little more, giving them away? If so, that went out the window when I started realizing this would play better as an ensemble scene.
Sundar came a long way from child napper.
In the first panel he’s just a regular napper.
The part about the note in the annotations makes me thing some of these pages were made like the movie The Hangover.
The great thing for me about the comic running again is that I thought up an awesome pun about a week after the gang met the winter elves that would have rocked if I had put it in right at the start of that story arc.
So now I get to follow along and get it right this time round!
write it down somewhere! So you don’t have the frustration of forgetting it again, and so we get to see it :)
WHUNK WHUNK OPEN UP THE DOOR ITS REAL!
But we do see these bystanders again on the next page, and there it kinda is important that they are male.
