Although they no longer fit the mold of “big dumb adventurers who break everything they touch,” our heroes do spend a lot of this first volume running away from things that they purposely or accidentally set on fire.
There is nothing more World of Warcraft about our strip than Byron’s ax-shoulderblades, and I’m glad we could celebrate them right here, just where the story needed a little levity.
Phil’s Frigg dialogue here is especially on point. Erica gave her a little more energy in the last frame (and an extra angry close-up) to add some force to this emotional crisis.
She’s really Friggin grateful to be alive.
