Annotated 8-22
I did have to give John one design note: to bulk up Frigg’s armor a bit. It lost some dimensions between her first appearance in the chapter and the end of her set-to with Harky. Here, it’s pretty close to where it should be: maybe still a little thin, but if it were much thicker, she wouldn’t have as much dynamism in her poses. Collaboration means trusting your partners’ instincts at some point.
Sure, Harky has to spend a little cred to turn this fight over to the archers, but it’s worth it to prevent his mystic strength from being zombified and turned against his people and their allies.
It’d be some sort of nepotism for me to give Phil a gold star for the alt text, but…
Probably one of my favorite alt texts XD Well deserved
Hits or GTFO Frigg!
Is Nilkuff the only named character with a speaking role who doesn’t get mentioned in the tags?
Hmmm, no, there’s Donovan in the next chapter, though maybe I’ll tag them both. Probably others, too. We tended to throw names around for supporting players because we didn’t always know who we’d need to settle into a more extensive role later. Also, it felt more natural to use names almost all the time instead of just when we were invoking important figures.
I like that you actually addressed why Harky cut and ran for it here. And from what we find out later, that was exactly the right decision.
I like the fact that Harky’s casually plucking arrows and the spear out of himself, even while panicking about the Madness.
It takes the whole thing one step beyond.
(I am sorry, I had to.)
I…I love you for this.
And I love you for getting it. >_>
Speaking of Gold Stars…
When about did you folks give the first comment a gold star?
And when did you make the official icon, instead of merely a reply?
(I’m pretty sure I got one before the icon, and Much Later two in-the-same-week. My binary system! Can’t recall if I ever earned a fourth.)
Phil’s first “gold star” was assigned to a comment on chapter 2, page 12. His first “gold star icon” was deployed for a comment on chapter 20, page 5.
FYI, you’ve currently got some kind of ad from hell making the site all but unreadable (at least, on my phone)
