I love Gravedust’s expression in panel before last. He looks pretty upset – part outrage at how Bandit is now dangling this information in front of them – information she might not really have, I must point out – and how she’s blatantly tried to play every card that might manipulate them into including her…
Except the truth card.
Now don’t get me wrong, I think Bandit’s bloody awesome and probably a highly competent thief and potentially a very valuable asset to the group. She’s probably going to be putting out as much DPS (to use an MMO term) as Frigg. Roguey types tend to go for the debilitating, massive damage sneak attacks whenever possible. So don’t think I don’t like Bandit.
I’m just saying it would be a mistake to trust the little runt. Working with her will undoubtedly have benefits. But they’re going to have to either hedge her with restrictions enough to allow her to feel free to practice her craft and NOT turn on the party…or they’re going to have to find some kernel of good in her, and exploit that to get her to make a promise she feels is unbreakable.
Without that, Bandit will have no compelling reason (whether imposed by the group or self imposed) to do anything that doesn’t suit her own best interests *and* the best interests of the group and their mission.
Hmmm… is she avoiding it because it is a truth serum, or because it might not be?
If she can’t deceive with the truth then she can’t be a very proficient communicator.
But then she is right to distrust their word at what it is in the first place, as she has no means of knowing how prone to lying they are.
See..Babble Juice, just like I said. Of course Bandy said no, but that’s besides the point.
Intro Bug Bunniesque dust cloud to indicate high speed movement…
LOVE the Looney Toons dust clouds!!!
LOL
Jim
“¡Andale! ¡Andale! ¡Arriba! ¡Arriba! ¡Yii-hah!”
*Nastolga sigh*
That’s not truth serum, that’s a pen.
It’s a syringe. As we have seen, this is how Syr’ng stores and uses her potions.
thus her name
syringe
derp
More or less called it.
Called it. :)
OH THAT BANDIT HAHAHAHAHA *strike a pose-freeze frame*
Dangit Keynes stop being so adorable! And she looks super SUPER sly in the third panel.
“Ward! Wally and the Bandit got loose in the haberdashery!”
“Again? Those two…grounded for a week!”
It’s Frigg season! Bandit season! Frigg season!
Love Bandit’s positively diabolical smile in panel three.
Bandit’s an imp in disguise.
how does Gravedust even manage to get up onto that stool?
“we have no reason to trust you.” What reason does she have to trust them?
Clearly she can trust them because:
A) They’re goody-two-shoes
B) Even if they tried to stop her, she’s a good enough thief she’ll find a way to get away.
Also: Gravedust’s expression makes me crack up every time >8[
Hey man … not so fast! Syr’s still pissed over a stolen hat. Who knows what the hell could be in the vial.
Dance puppets! DANCE!

She’s a powerful little cannon. But a loose one.
She’s definitely chaotic neutral.
I still want to see the Trial Of Gravedust. :)
A sexy goddess of war!
Fuck’s sake! Just beat it out of her!
Thief? THIEF?? No, no, no, we prefer the title “Property Redistribution Specialist.”
Gold Star.
You don’t ‘ask’ someone to take truth serum, you just stick ’em.
Personally, I’d be a LOT more worried if she had agreed to the shot.
A reason to use the truth serum. Bandit had to open her big mouth…
I’m sorry Bandit. The test came out blue. Looks like you won’t be adventuring for a while.
LOL
Hehe.
