Guest Comic Annotations – Lee Cherolis
Lee’s an old friend of Phil’s and an acquaintance of mine. He’s also a very good sport.
His principal claim to comics fame has been the art on Little Guardians, a series which has finally wrapped and gotten into colorized book form as of late last year.
It took me a little scanning of the background to realize what I was looking at. That’s HR’s basement, specifically the tubes occupied by proto-Syr’Nj and proto-Best. The story never went in the direction of bringing Arkerran figures to Earth, but gosh, it certainly COULD have!
Probably only if HR hadn’t been shot could Arkerran people potentially transfer, which isn’t a price sepia world would ever be willing to pay because he clearly went mad. Also, since bandit is played by someone from not in the tubes I’d bet she’d ether be brain-dead after the transfer, or she’d become someone based on how she was played (ie how she’s portrayed to act in the comic) until the transfer. I mean, HR was adding two and two and getting orange for cripes sake.
Interesting thought. Are Arkerra and Earth truly equivalent? If HR’s technology were replicated in Arkerra could people over there play “Earth Online”?
As per the Snow Elf prophecies, Earth, Arkerra Prime (which was never depicted in the comic) and Game Arkerra all exist within the same layer of reality.
It was during her time in prison that Carol began to notice the … implications of having killed a god.
She hadn’t really noticed it at first, as it had sent her straight to the level cap in one fell swoop… but in her dreams she always found herself in the same place … underneath the Skill Tree.
