So will the next baddies we meet be named Float and Bee? And dare I hope there’s one called “Rope-A-Dope?”

Not to be overly critical, but the bear trap in the second frame can’t be right. Or did it completely sever Gravedust’s foot?

btw: got a 500 error trying to post this

    *sigh* – doesn’t look good.

BTW, I love the artwork on the last panel – the crossbowman looks like he’s pulled right out of an Art Nouveau piece!

Oh, and random_passerby, I get the same errors every time, I just back up and reload the page, and – poof! – my comment’s there! Probably Internet Exploder’s fault.

I kept thinking that bear trap was a hobo shoe, looking elsewhere for the injury. I guess I just couldn’t wrap my mind around such an unexpected bear trap attack appearance. Which is funny that I still have those barriers after reading the rest of this story. hah.

Though both spellings are acceptable, that one is definitely a “moustache”

I think it’s the monocle that sends it over the edge, actually.

Well actually I think the monacle serves a purpose, if you look close there’s a targeting reticle on there.

It has crosshairs, but more importantly, I think his monocle – and Syr’Nj’s goggles – have enchanted glass allowing for night vision.

“I’ll be your eyes – more to the left!”

After all, it’s pretty friggin’ dark in that dungeon!

I don’t think Bandit is going to show up. You know why? Because her and Best are never around at the same time. THEY ARE THE SAME PEOPLE! No seriously. I know that various pages of the comic represent different times, but whenever Bandit is in the group, Best is not.

Not to discount that WONDERFUL theory, But Best and Bandit show up in the same frame, back in the bar. She’s picking pockets whilst Best is spitting game. She even contributes a little.

Mostly i was hoping if i said something humorous enough, someone would give me an answer to the outlining question. All you actually did was contradict what was obviously a joke with criticism instead of providing an answer… but thanks for participating. ^_^

I fail to see what question you asked, other than “You know why?”, in which case the answer was “No” before you told us.

So Best dies and Bandit joins up. Mystery=solved.

Goddamn snipers. Why do all snipers have to be cold and calculating? If I become a sniper I’m going to be psychotic and laughing all the time.

    DM: “Roll a spot check.”
    Byron: “Huh…?”
DM: “Yeah, you just got flanked. Your next.”
    Gravedust: “What?”
DM: “Yeah, you just stepped on a bear trap. Your turn.”
    Syr’Nj: “…crap.”

The correct response to the DM calling for a spot check is to for everyone to immediately dive for cover, preferably after yelling “Battle stations!” If you make it a point to do this at random, even when he isn’t calling a spot check, you can play it as a normal in character action. This may, however, result in the DM just rolling spot checks on behalf of the party and not telling you when they occur.

Yeah, I’ve started rolling spot, listen, search, and the like for the party.
Also, don’t dwarves have darkvision? Unless the range is over 60 feet…
