Magda’s gift looks like one of those miniature Torah scrolls that Reform temples give their first-grade religious school students.

Fantasy dwarves have borrowed heavily from Jewish culture ever since Tolkien.

The one that clued me into that (from D&D) would be Golems.

Also, perfect “teaching moment” avatar Kennerly.

It has occurred to me that the Gastonia faction is kind of lame. The World’s rebellion has trolls, goblins, gnolls, avians, and dwarves while Gastonia has humans, gnomes, and three different types of elves. Not exactly a riveting selection on Gastonia’s part. Gravedust might imply that Gastonians can also be dwarves, but he is the only one we have seen and there has been more than enough story to show other Gastonian Dwarves. More likely Gravedust was only able to change factions because of Akerra’s unique story system.

It only just occurred to you that Gastonia is a racist oligarchy of assholes, and its current leaders are the true villains of this story? besides HR, of course.

Akerra needs an expansion where the Snow elves join the world’s rebellion, and Gastonia gets those Lionfolk the Gnolls tried to kill.

The Snow Elves, wrongly ejected from Gastonia when someone mistook “that snow elf” for “that’s no elf”.
