Annotated 10-2
Note that Gravedust’s restoration spell even replenishes their armor and supplies, which does lend some credence to HR’s “this is all just a game” theory.
If I’d had my way, the “NO ONE CAN STOP YOU” bit would’ve appeared in the last page’s silent panel. I felt Frigg opening her eye wasn’t that surprising of a reveal: sure, we only just told the readers we’d revive them all a page or two earlier, but what’ve we done to surprise them LATELY? I have to admit John sold it, though, and her reactions here create the story interest I was looking for.
Really, the most logical reason Bandit’s not there with the rest of them is that her body was a lot more damaged than even Byron’s, and Gravedust’s spell means that her spirit now occupies a pair of slithering, bodiless arms.
I have a hard time imagining a scenario where that club is non-lethal to the head.
She’s clearly using the shaft of the mace to bash Byron. She wouldn’t try to really hurt him.
Frigg’s wild swinging and unstable footing there meant that what she struck Byron was an extremely glancing blow.
Looks like a 3 sec hit-resist after respawn :)
Or maybe the arms attached to each other, to form sort of a two-handed ouroborous snake? Freaky!
Is this the first appearance of Insanity Wolf’s voice?
Yep.
The wolf’s voice in panel four is hard to read. Especially for many who’re visually impaired. It’s not that visually distinct from the background. I recommend using a contrast ratio of 4.5:1.
