Weo’s personality does a lot to make this basically expositional scene go down smoothly. He’s having fun, but he’s also doing important work, and those two facts are working together rather than coming into conflict.
The subtext is mostly text on this one and Flo was letting me have my way with this sequence, so I don’t have much else to add. But if you’re missing extra commentary added to your comics dialogue, maybe check out this week’s Traveler.

I feel like Weo is not nice to Gravedust here, and Gravy certainly does not seem too happy about the kind-of non-answer he got there. I think he would have deserved something a bit more comforting.
Weo’s answer to Gravy may not be as obvious as the others’, but that’s probably because he knows a deep-thinking mystic will puzzle it out easily
