Call of Duty 4
Most of you will remember that this is where we left Syr’Nj in Chapter 1.
Phil’s observations from the original Plus page are the best thing I can put here (especially since Jason Statham did a VO for the original Call of Duty):
I love the Statham Leap. I don’t know if there’s a more well-known trope for this phenomenon, but it’s that moment where Jason Statham (or a reasonably crank’d approximation) leaps through the air swinging some kind of hurting object and screaming in slow mo. I don’t know who was first to do this thing, but I like to think Statham popularized it (regardless of whether not I’m even remembering that correctly or if he even did one).
I’d credit Jason Statham with the invention of sliced bread if I could.
It’s almost as if the general isn’t a professional soldier, but someone pretending to be one.
You mean, like role-playing it? Who on earth would want to do that?

Huh. Apparently, short Youtube urls aren’t automatically embedded.
I wonder if anyone at Nintendo saw Syr’Nj’s outfit here.
So is Syr’s buckler Gastonian standard issue? It looks pretty much the same as the other guy’s in the last panel.
Is there a trope for that? Now I’m curious.
I wonder how long after he submitted this before he noticed that 2nd panel.
