Pages like this always highlight the things that can be done in a visiual medium (eg: graphic novel format) that can’t be done in a words-only narrative. The juxtaposition of the ironic descriptions with the presentation of the nuns’ actual behaviour just could not be delivered with the same impact in a straight-up text! Excellent work.
Yes Terry Pratchett indeed but there are attempts to remedy that part by adding visual as well as audio mediums but still those priests are armed with rulers?!
I… worry a bit about that second panel. It’s almost certainly just my alarm bells being overactive, but like… that guy’s practically doing the “happy merchant” pose :X
Oh dear, I must have missed something with this comic. I had been under the impression that the comic had ended. Apparently not, based on the rather different dialog from the prior comic, and based on the different art style. Live and learn. I’m glad to see a second iteration, or so I believe, of this fascinating comic.
Today’s Texture, “+texture” was provided by T-A-G-G-E-R at deviantart.com.
Cool poster. “Read or the owl will eat you” can’t be improved upon, but still… cool.
I Get the feeling that somebody was raised catholic, and hated it :)

Except by Terry Pratchett, for some reason.

Owch!
Yardsticks with BLADES in ’em. Now that’s a school I can get behind.
It’s also a school where the students cut out the nonsense . . . or the nuns get ~their~ behinds as well. : 3
Oooh. Alt-text. Shiny.
But my dwarf priest say pelor is better but I rather have asmodeus as my faith hehe
