Is Frigg a little jealous that Byron repeatedly is getting the shaft right now? She is a woman who likes to be left a quiver herself sometimes. She could always shoot over to Best before, but he’s already shot away.
Given that her species can soak up water through their toes, it is still unknown whether they are physically compatible, whether the gears mesh to continue the metaphor.
Still, love finds a way.
Not like Frigg to balk at the idea of getting on people’s nerves some more. Is she shocked at the thought of “testing suppressants? Was it the reaction to “Sucky sucky” that threw her?
Syr will do science to anything. Tying her bf to a pole with heavy chains? Science. Beating him senseless? Science. Shooting him with potentially lethal projectiles? Science.
Frygg almost gave Syr a reason to do science to her. She should be very worried.
Nothing, we thought Harky did some magik of his own to block ‘Dust vision but it was in fact Byron emitting his own bad mojo while thinking of his past.
Looks like Frigg just wants to get to the root of the problem, but does can Gravedust discover if the pen is mightier than the arrow? Perhaps he can cock another one into his bow, but they might need a ballgag for Byron next time.
Perhaps, but I suspect Byron is worried about getting tied down with Syr, and she doesn’t want to feel like a ball-and-chain. Frigg doesn’t understand the need for subtlety, though – she always felt being brash was the Best way – so Gravedust feels the need to point it out to her with some kind of flashing neon arrow. And everyone is probably really tense at the moment trying to nock together a solution for Byron’s lack of control.
I though Byron would break away from his chains at some point and attack Syr’Nj O_o Guess I’m always expecting things going suddenly dark. And please ignore the little voice in your head saying “that still can happen next page”.
I’m really enjoying to see Syr’Nj as a leader. We always knew she had a strong personality, but there’s a lot of difference between her in the beggining and now.
Okay, Bandit’s face in the last panel.
O_O
ITYM “Frigg”
Nah. Bandit is hiding in the room. See how long it takes you to find her.
No, Frigg, she knows that doesn’t do it, thanks to some… “Experimentation.”
SCIENCE
All things for science!
I really still want Byron x Frigg dang it…please ~crosses fingers~
Or Byron x Bandit…don’t like elven lady don’t know why
Is it because Syr looks mannish?
The character portrayal for her is just kind of wooden*.
*This statement only made for the pun. No actual opinions were used in the making of this post.
You’ll just sap these puns from anywhere, won’t you?
Some people just can’t leaf it alone.
Well, some of us happen to be for’est.
And rooting around for puns is fun.
With how well it’s going, there’s not much reason to branch out.
I’m going to go out on a limb, and say that their are punsters about.
I bough to your assessment.
Sheesh all I ever hear from you guys is birch, birch, birch.
I’m all for Frigg x Bandit…
heeeeellllzzzz yeeeesssss!!!!
Is Frigg a little jealous that Byron repeatedly is getting the shaft right now? She is a woman who likes to be left a quiver herself sometimes. She could always shoot over to Best before, but he’s already shot away.
Maybe Syr is just a little touchy about Byron shooting his bolt.
Not to nock your pun or anything, but a bolt is from a crossbow.
So what’s wrong, is that its a bit too mechanical?
Anyway, Syr is a scientist. I’m sure she understands how the gears connect.
Given that her species can soak up water through their toes, it is still unknown whether they are physically compatible, whether the gears mesh to continue the metaphor.
Still, love finds a way.
What’s your quarrel here, exactly?
Quite a fletching look for him though. So let’s not quarrel.
The Auld Grump
It might be too early to draw a conclusion.
Not like Frigg to balk at the idea of getting on people’s nerves some more. Is she shocked at the thought of “testing suppressants? Was it the reaction to “Sucky sucky” that threw her?
Actually, looking at the last panel, I think it’s because gravedust has grabbed her ass appraisingly. “B+, would grope again.”
I can’t unsee it now. And neither can any of you!
Pffft! You’re right! It cannot be unseen!
Hahahahahaha
Awwww yeeeaaaahhhhhhh.
That’s our Pimpdust.
Ladyhammer.
I can not not even see that, let alone unsee it; Gravedust is not the type.
Bandit on the other hand . . .
I think that look was because she doesn’t like the idea of doing this again.
What? – She doesn’t like the idea of getting an ass-grab from Gravedust… again?
I think it’s more along the lines of Frigg thinking “Berserker scares the @#$% out of me”
There’s only one thing Frigg needs to understand: http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/3950/syraria2.jpg
You need to have played Mass Effect 2 to “get it”.
It’s a good rule.
Meh. I did it anyway with the whole Patriarch mission thing. Which was fun. :-D
PUSH IT TO THE LIMIT
Is it just me, or does Frigg’s face in panel 4 look a lot like the coolface?
It’s not just you. it’s subtle, but it’s there.
love Gravedust’s face in panel 4, hilariously disgusted.
hahaha! i loved it too.
He actually has no idea what ‘sucky lucky’ means – he’s just pissed she called them ‘haunted arrows’ – they are ‘infused with the spirits’! xD
It is not uncommon for some people to become enraged when infused with spirits.
Others prefer to drink deep from the wells of tranquility, though.
Don’t mess with Syr, Frigg… she will fuck you up. With Science.
I thought Syr was getting annoyed at the idea of fucking people up. With or without science.
Syr will do science to anything. Tying her bf to a pole with heavy chains? Science. Beating him senseless? Science. Shooting him with potentially lethal projectiles? Science.
Frygg almost gave Syr a reason to do science to her. She should be very worried.
And that was the day Frigg learned of ‘boundries’.
pfft.
That. Is. Enough.
There is no reason to test this, the white fluid can only come out of one orifice.
Really impressed with art in this storyline. Those are some serious bruises around Byron’s “muzzle.”
What was the leafport massacre again? I forgot and don’t remember in which chapter it was. Could someone link to it in the comments?
3ed page of Chapter 5

Isn’t “sucky” some kind of Japanese alcoholic beverage?
Ah, so that’s why my local Japanese restaurant referred me to the massage parlour next door
Love the expressions for the whole page.
Even Byron’s face – as the rage is fading – is really well done.
Also: Syr stabs Byron in the neck with a syringe *without looking*? Badass scientist FTW!
Greater syringe focus + blind-inject feats.
They are prerequisites for the Gastonian Combat Medic prestige class. Usually human only, the DM waived the racial requirements.
What does “massacre at Leafport” refer to?
as for the “Leafport massacre” ref.:

Thanks. Seems strange, though, that Harky would have anything to do with the “curse” of Byron…
This is the ‘Cultist in the Market’-scene by the way: http://guildedage.net/webcomic/chapter-7/chapter-7-page-13
Nothing, we thought Harky did some magik of his own to block ‘Dust vision but it was in fact Byron emitting his own bad mojo while thinking of his past.
…and that was the day Frigg learnt the true fear of horrible death…
I’m noticing a recent trend in googly eyes, must be a rare disease.
Yeah, it’s like feast or famine with John. :-)
I am not a fan of the recent wave of O_O faces. Not being an ass, just voicing my opinion. Great work otherwise, John.
O_O!
8-o
O_O O_O O_O O_O O_O O_O
we are watching you!
._.
Well, Syr’nj is a princess. I bet she could put some of that noble ironwood into her voice if she had to.
Looks like Frigg just wants to get to the root of the problem, but does can Gravedust discover if the pen is mightier than the arrow? Perhaps he can cock another one into his bow, but they might need a ballgag for Byron next time.

She has more to fight for now, so it brings more out of her.
Cheers,
Cote
Look at what Gravedust says here:
http://guildedage.net/webcomic/chapter-5/chapter-5-page-4/
and compare it to what he says here:
http://guildedage.net/webcomic/chapter-13/chapter-13-page-19/
That is not coincidence.
Know what else the magic of half-forgotten gods can do? Ka-SMITE.
Good news, Byron! It’s actually an eldritch horror possessing you that induces your berserk rage, not just your own massive psychological problems!
Bad news, Byron! We still have no idea how to fix it!
Panel #4, would love to see that
