I was thinking that and looked back though the archives. It made sense to me because the airship was suspected to be of gnome design.

One should never feel abashed to take a swing at making some more smashing puns. We never hit on everything and we typically pound out a few more when we aren’t expecting it.

for a town known for crazy technology, I expected the security to be more complex than a few foot level tripwires and a kid with a hammer.

Was Bandit captive on the ship? I never noticed that. Looking back I see a little girl that could be mistaken for Bandit, but I doubt that’s her:

Yeah, and you’re only supposed to do that constant motion dodging thing when the stuff you are avoiding is moving, too… when it’s static tripwires you can stop at times to see what is ahead. This is what she gets for showing off and doing it all in one panel, though… the chance for an embarrassing defeat by the vested threat of Gloaty McHammerpants. Hey, I admit it is a low chance, but that is what would make it so embarrassing!

To paraphrase Terry Pratchett, if you have to face an armed enemy, you’d better hope they’re evil. Evil people will stop to gloat, but a good person will kill you were you stand.
