Hey, stop drinking that wine! It’s finite and of no interest to the countless. And air? Don’t get me started on air…

In other news, government official makes deal with shady organization. More at eleven.

Ya attempting to controlling chaos for your own benefit… Why does this remind me of that Villain from Demolition man? Oh ya thats exactly what the old villain tried to do with that insane criminal… I’m fairly sure this arrogant gastonian will regret making this deal…

Ah, Dr Raymond Cocteau trying to control Simon Phoenix in Demolition Man, right ?
Come to think about it, it’s an American movie where the old villain has french names … it DOES tend to be often that way, with Uncle Sam, doesn’t it ?

A future where they have gotten rid of kissing is a future must not become real. GO FORTH AND MAKE CERTAIN IT IS NOT SO.

So I had this idea. Lets find the crazy cultists who worship chaos, death and the countless horrors of the void between the worlds, and get them to aim their power at the people I want dead.
This is the best plan EVAR.

Not more dangerous. Just dangerous in a different way. He’s politically and tactically adept, and extremely ambitious. But the cultists are clearly tapping into something deeper, darker, and far more powerful than even the most ambitious and brilliant mere mortal.

      Very good catch indeed.
And this Chaos seer did talk to Syr’nj and Byron about their future (and maybe took some role in it happening?)
Good time to check up on his reading.
I believe I recognize the bloodied spear. And the burning trees. Now, what’s left? Walking through some place unshod? Having been dead may account for it. Getting something done before the gods become involved? For whatever it was, it may be too late…

saw one end off of a pipe bomb and you can direct the charge (not that I’m advocating this!)

still dangerous and unpredictable like nobody’s business, but you’ve got a pretty good idea that whatever is right in front of it will be none too happy about it when it goes off.

However, Iwatani better be prepared to lose a few fingers to his cause, because that is pretty much the nature of this particular beast, I think.

That is sadly incorrect — a pipe bomb is not controlled by the pipe. It isn’t a gun. A bullet in a gun on the other hand, only has a small charge behind it — less than a cc , measured in ‘grains’ and a large mass of metal to act as a backstop for it. Pipe is there to hold the bits inside while transporting it and maybe to act as shrapnel. Doing as you suggest would have part of an explosion going one way and a pipe in several pieces coming at you. This is Physics. You are not metal, and are certainly not as durable. This is Biology. Do not cross the streams.

yeah, I was thinking about this later and decided my science was probably off. I just saw pictures of a homemade cannon that used to belong to a family member that looked very pipey and started to mush them together in my brain. (guns and explosions are things my husband’s family played with as kids, but something I haven’t given an awful lot of thought to.)

You know who likes to cross his Physics and his Biology? Joss Whedon.

Logically if chaos is defined as total randomness, and randomness can encompass every possible eventuality, then chaos must at some point result in order and stability. Order therefore is not the opposite of chaos, it is simply a part of it. Or to put it another way, chaos is the coin to which one side is harmony and the other disharmony. Chaos wanting to destroy order or vice versa will always be a futile venture because both require the other to exist, and yet it wouldn’t be chaos if they didn’t try.

You need to see things less chaotic. Order and peace of mind are the way to go.

I’m looking at you too, dear reader. See into my eyes and see the calmness. See the balance in my face and the awareness of everything that I have in this way reached. Train the same for you.

As somebody mentioned ahead of me… The fact he considers wealth as something “vaunted” is hard to to be taken seriously in a tent filled with expensive tapestry, wine, and all manner of other items that I am sure are not worth “nothing”. On that note, the tent is a standing health hazard. It seems that so much as approaching any of its walls might result in a brutal death by something sharp and pointy.
