I dunno, but when I saw that line I thought that Frigg is actually mocking Payet and calling him in some way a girl. Not sure where I got such an idea from, but it fits in my opinion.
In the first panel, is Bes explaining to Byron why they brought Frigg along? Or why Payet is letting her sing?
Gravedust is old, but he walks, talks, and even shares the class of a wise old coot. If he says, “Observe”, my guess is that you should take not of a bent grass blade.
I’m surprised she’s singing about grog. That is a bit of a weak drink. It was deliberately kept weak enough that sailors couldn’t get drunk enough at sea to be unable to do their jobs the next day. It was primarily a method of keeping water fresh by using alchohol to kill off bacteria.
The art stays pretty constant. It’s simplified a bit since the start, but that just means it’s settling into the style. I’d imagine they’re getting easier to draw, as well.

Why, Payet, how very generous of you. And totally not a cover for “I’d rather sign autographs than do any dirty work.”
Oh man, I love this! Tthe alt-text puts this one over the top :-D
its the beard of always knowing what your doing +1
The Blonde Hotness? Is Frigg developing a crush on the nerd?
Dum Dah Daaaaaaaa.
that would be a scary thought, shit elf getting into her chainmail….
I dunno, but when I saw that line I thought that Frigg is actually mocking Payet and calling him in some way a girl. Not sure where I got such an idea from, but it fits in my opinion.
Probably because Blonde refers to a female and Blond refers to a male.
Actually, blonde refers to beer :)
“He” is an elf. Remember.
To be fair, he is not a homely gentleman.
I’d hit it.
*shudder*
W-with a weapon? : o
Even within the liberal standards of modern usage, Best does not qualify in any way as a “nerd.”
Frigg is more of the mocking type, after all.
In the first panel, is Bes explaining to Byron why they brought Frigg along? Or why Payet is letting her sing?
Gravedust is old, but he walks, talks, and even shares the class of a wise old coot. If he says, “Observe”, my guess is that you should take not of a bent grass blade.
Best is making excuses for why he didn’t show up for the interrogation — “her” is Syr’nj. Who seems to have a disturbingly adoring look on her face.
Ssssht. Can’t you see he’s seriuosing?
Well duh. Gravedust is obviously back with his brand new invention.
She didn’t make up the song.
Wow, the last few pages remind me of the MERP campaign I am running… Awesome comic!
Do different artists take turns drawing the strip?
no.
The art stays pretty constant. It’s simplified a bit since the start, but that just means it’s settling into the style. I’d imagine they’re getting easier to draw, as well.

nah, seriously:
the last webcomic to WOW me this much was, eh….hmmmm….gimme a moment….
:)
In the last panel it looks like Gravedust is taking a piss :D
Am I the only one curious and horrified if the next line of the song really is “fifty-FOUR flagons of grog”?
I imagine there’s a god bit of clanking from the plate Frigg’s wearing, too, making a nice rhythm accompaniment to her song…
I think a well made armor doesn’t clank too much. Although her shield probably makes a bit of noise as it hits her back.
Even the best full suits of plate have a good bit of noise with each step!
But yeah, that shield’s a real beast, and probably makes more noise than the rest of the outfit…
Well, except the earer, of course!
