Don’t know if HAMMERHEAD is helping or attacking Frigg. I don’t think he got the memo about who’s on what side. Also looks like Rachel will have to replace that ruler-sword of hers.

Hammerhead is an NPC. Meaning this will be his last fight.

        IS Hammerhead an NPC, though?

I don’t mean to be “that guy,” but it’s pronounced “HAMMERHEAD”

I t looks like he’s using her as a shield and/or weapon to attack digi-thulhu with.

Not unless he did a 180 after picking her up. He’s facing her front as if he’s pushing her away from the digi-thulhu. He seems smart enough to prioritize targets and already knows what kind of threat the digi=monster poses. So I suspect he is saving her.

Actually he’s hitting her shield-side, so he’s just pushing her parallel to the digi-thulu

In other words, you think Hammerhead is going to Frigg that thing a good one?

I wonder if Hammerhead thinks Frigg and her allies are threatening to steal the honor of slaying the beast from the savage races. In other words, he thinks the Peace-makers are kill stealing.

I would think that HAMMERHEAD would be able to prioritise targets better. :/

Considering he sheaths his sword on his back, I was thinking the ancient art of “reaching for your sword only when your target is looking weak”, but it really does look like he’s about to chuck a rock.

I think I know what hammerhead is going to do…considering how Frigg seems to be the only one who can actually hit the thing physically (in a sense) without deletion.

    Wait…did he notice that?

Looks like Gravey is back in the fight. Glad to see that. I figured he was going to be out of it for awhile as he dealt with the trauma of having accidentally dispatched a soul to oblivion.

Nah, I see him as being more resolved if anything “This abomination can KILL SOULS! The ghost was right to fear it! Everything should fear it! It must be stopped here or we must die trying!”

The next day, as Syr examines the crime scene, and Frigg’s body:
“The torso has been crushed in mid-thorax. There are no major organs remaining. This was no tentacle accident! Did you notify the Coast Guard about this? This indicates the non frenzied feeding of a large land squallus. The attacking squallus must be considerably larger than any normal one found in these sands … Well. This wasn’t a tentacle accident, and it wasn’t any goblin, and it wasn’t any troll, and it wasn’t Payet Best. IT WAS A HAMMERHEAD.

I feel like the last panel should have had Frigg yelling “FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU~” on the bottom to complement HAMMERHEAD’s roar.

even the most experienced and appropriately braced-for-impact of tanks would have the wind knocked out of them from a hit like that.

Honestly I think Hammerhead knows the Peacemakers are helping to kill the beast, but still doesn’t want to work with them. Fits in with the way he glared in the last panel of the previous story page.

Hammerhead has always been fairly observant; I think he knows about the team up. My money says he’s using Frigg like a glowy hammershield.
