Oh, Fair Exchange. I, um, was getting something not suitable for polite company. Well, or pertaining to building a structure.

OH… so her name means something too. I couldn’t make it out until you mentioned it.

I’ve heard this type of persuasion before. “Your brothers are off to do an essential, dangerous job: deep sea fishing. I need you, however, for a critical, most important task …
    … reorganizing the silverware drawer.”

To be fair, briefing the leader about all the information gained working in the enemy’s inner circle is pretty important.

I would say it can be critical, as it will directly effect said leader’s decisions during a dangerous time for their kingdom. Your only as good as your advisors, after all…

    Fair Exchange… heh.

Have we heard her name before? It always makes me so happy to work out the pun. I feel like Kur’ik’s name should be some sort of wordplay too, but maybe it’s a privilege held only by the ‘Nj family.

I’m sure her name has been mentioned, considering she’s Syr’Nj and Fr’Nj’s mother. But other elves have had punny names – Sc’Wl, Bibli’Oh, Gr’Zl, to name a few. There’s a bunch in the bonus book for Volume 3, but I’m not at home, so I can’t check those.

I don’t remember if it was ever said in the comic itself, but she’s always been tagged that way.

Kur’ik is a reporter. Her name is a wordplay, just a little more basic than the ‘njes.

It’s said that when scribes have had a taste of adventure they don’t want to scribe no more and have to be put down. Shame when that happens.

I’m proud of Kur’ik for doing this good deed. Old people get lonely and reading their mail to them is a good way to make them feel better.
