He’s not nameless, he just has the same name as one of the protagonists.

They’re coming, Carol! Escape to the safety of the one remaining empty tube in the basement!

    Immersion of disbelief broken.

I’ll allow for a group of out of shape, amateur sneakthief MMO players to go for some wacky Ocean’s Eleven heist-style action to get into Hurricane’s HQ, but Windows doesn’t come with Solitaire anymore! You either have to play a game with ads or go to a website for it!

Like a lot of businesses with legacy apps, they’re not even up to Win7 yet.

      It’s XP.

You’re assuming their security stations’ computer systems are up to date?

Yeah, I’ve worked gate/patrol security jobs before. They are not exactly working with cutting edge systems, usually.

In my I. T. experience, nothing ever gets replaced until it’s 100% broken.

I hope you don’t need to ever work for an IT department again and that you can make a living drawing graphic novels and quit your day job.

Windows 10 still comes with Klondike Solitaire, as well as Spider solitaire, Free Cell, and two more I never heard of before I upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10 – Pyramid and Tri-Peaks. They are all in the Microsoft Solitaire Collection App, and tho it will pester you, you can play as a Guest without signing in.

Forget Ocean’s Eleven. This is more like Sneakers.

Look at that task bar – square start button and a text box to interact with Cortana.

      Probably Win 8.

we must be getting toward the end of Guilded Age. One of the things left that needs to happen is the big smack down between Shanna and Carol. Let the sepia bullets fly.

Yeah, they said at the beginning of the last chapter that there were only five left. It’ll be over by the end of the year.

    That’s a lot of security.
They have a god in the building, why do they need any security at all?

I am now aware that there are drinking glasses with round rims and square bottoms. I’ve most likely seen lots of them before, but I haven’t taken notice until now.

Ok, having grown up near the offices of the inspiration for Hurricane (and having worked in the building before they took tenancy) I have to say that the Hurricane offices are in a much less…bland and surburban area based on the buildings in the glass in panel 1. Although the freeway lights are spot on.
