    Bow time.

    Or tracking time.

One of the two. My bet’s Trial By Gravestone though. Those eyes of his get them every time.

Taking all bets on what the next comic will be! Taking ALL bets!

Riveting montage? Simple test of her skills? Drinking contest?

I’ve already got one for Trial by Gravestone. Who’s next?

My bet is that Bandit will manage to come out with something that gets them to agree to put her in the team, either htat or she’ll agree to something that’ll convince them.

The story pacing of this comic is such that they won’t loiter on this argument much longer.

Trial by Gravedust sounds too good not to happen. I place my two coppers on that.

I predict a montage in which the party separates to go looking about the city for clues. Pauses for wind-blown hair shots in attractive lighting are mandatory. It’ll be fun!

I love Gravestone’s surprised look, though I’m not sure if it’s “She stole your HAT? What the heck FOR?” or “Whoa, Ms. Earthy-Hopey gets all crazy when her leaves are threatened. Gooood to know.”

I vote reasonable adult negotiation for the next strip! Until someone knocks Byron unconscious.

Gravestone pinned her to a post while Syr’nj was chasing her to recover the hat… so I don’t think he’s surprised about that.

    • Hawk

      June 11, 2010, 11:04 pm | # | Reply

No, they were just cousins. All kobolds are just cousins, as far as they know.

See, they’re all laid as eggs in a big communal pile and then left to hatch more or less on their own, and to fend for themselves between hatching and being able to talk. Before that point, they’re not even considered part of the tribe. Rival tribes will eat the non-speaking young of their enemies, even.

It’s a harsh life. For most of them, death must be a relief (to paraphrase Sweeney Todd).

Oh and did Bandit really steal so much that there’s nothing left to steal except hats? With all that cash why’d she need a job?

Of course I’m taking her words way to literally but still…

And why’d they let her out of jail? Wouldn’t be surprised if she were already on the payroll from the holographic baddies. Anyone remember Yoshimo from Baldurs Gate 2? What if she’s Yoshimo? Figuratively of course.

Argh, sorry about that. But it’s not entirely spoiled, there were some other circumstances surrounding Yoshimo that I didn’t mention.

BG2 is definitely worth playing through. It’s an epic adventure and once you finish it you’ll get that feeling of profound satisfaction and sadness that you might have gotten when you finished reading LoTR for the 1st time.
