I hypothesize that wood elves have a body-waste system similar to Star-Slip’s Cirbozoids. Only because it makes it more interesting in explaining things.
“True pleasure comes from the scratching of the leaf over the parchment, the wailing of your handwriting teacher, and spelling out “desecration” in the blood of your enemies.”
I guess its kind of obligatory to do everyone now.
“To whom it may concern,
If you are reading this letter consider yourself appropriately distracted. By this point in time i have fleeced you wholly and am halfway to pawning most of your worldly posessions”
PS: if gravedust has my immortal soul sealed in an arrow, please make sure he releases it properly instead of just talking idly to it as he walks through deserts.
To the person going through my luxurious silk pockets,
Enjoy the free autograph. If you really killed me, which is unlikely, congratulations, the value of my signature just went up 200%. Just know that, unlike you, people will actually mourn me when I die. I can hear the poor maidens weeping now.
I kinda like it because it feels realistic. Not everyone writes like Hannibal Lecter. Besides, Syr has no proper support. She made be a *wood* elf but her thighs still don’t make for a good table.
The cursive is computer-generated! :O I was going to say it looked like chicken-scratch, and that was hilarious, but now I don’t know. :\
Syr’Nj’s face still varies a bit too wildly for me to get her ‘true appearance’. Maybe the character design is still exploring, but really, it’s starting to … hmm… become a felt negative part of the comic.
character consistancy is important, it’s true- but the first year or two of any webcomic is going to be a little malleable- and ALL the characters have changed dramatically since page 1. even the shading style, as erica streamlines and refines her process for the comic. just relax and enjoy it. it’s not like you’re mistaking anyone for anyone else.
They’re probably more into the Eastern part of that…. I say sit their asses down and make them listen to the song….. 50 times in a row. Until it lives in them and will not leave… like the Barney song… goddamned Barney song >.>
S’rnj is really kind of my favorite. I love her mix of idealism and resignation.
More reasons than ever, eh?
Bow chika wow wow
That’s what I thought immediately. The mood was like “serious … serious … OMG KNOB GAGS”
Everything is so earthy, even her writing implements. I love it so much I won’t ask where the writing ink is coming from.

Your comment accompanied the Facebook post. It made Syr’nj sound like a psychopath. Congraturations, a winner is you.
Hey, with Guilded Age, EVERYBODY’S a WINNER!
I would love to see Frigg’s letter if she had anyone to send it to. It’d most likely be completely in teh internet slang.
Or very eloquent and chock-full of grammary goodness.
She would then proceed to burn said letter both because she has no one to send it to and for teh lulz.

I’m aw3s0m3!

all my hat3z, Frigg
“Dear Person Who Killed Me And Is Going Through My Pockets,
F*** You.
Sincerely,
Frigg
That is spot on.
“Dear Person Who Killed Me and is Going Through My Pockets,
YER MOM!
PWNED!

“Dear Person Who Killed Me and is Going Through My Pockets,
I’m haunting your ass.
Have a nice life.

Gravedust’s letter would be written in Savasi, and thus (probably) incomprehensible to most trolls. Or humans.
it’d be readable, but he’d be late for the quest itself due to all the little drawings he insists on finishing.
Too bad there’s no actual sorcerer/wizard character in the party –
“To whomever has looted my corpse and is reading this note:
EXPLOSIVE RUNES, BIATCHES!!!”
(To be followed by much noise and spreading of gore)
“Dear person who is going through the pockets of a dummy. You missed.”

Dear person going through my pockets,
Please refrain from taking my herbs, as they are not for the hands of amateurs.
Love Syr’nj
P.S This letter will explode in 0,01 seconds.
Nicely done. With a few words and one sigh we understand volumes about S’rynj’s relationship with her father.
Syr, your handwriting is terrible
What do you expect? She’s a doctor.
I kinda like it because it feels realistic. Not everyone writes like Hannibal Lecter. Besides, Syr has no proper support. She made be a *wood* elf but her thighs still don’t make for a good table.
*She “may” be…
by definition, I disagree
I giggled at the hover text.

Look at the first hundred pages of Questionable Content, then quit whining.
Yep. (Though I do like QC’s art anyway)
“Questionable Content: If you don’t like the art, come back in two weeks!”

GOD, but I hated the Babylon 5 comics! “Who the- Wait, wait, head-spots. J’kar. Okay. Now who’s everybody else?”
