Guest Comic Annotations – Bess and Papa Rabe
Cute gag, mostly relying on Frigg’s foul mouth and the barely-revealed conventions of Gastonian printing. I like the callback to the children’s book we did the last time we needed to crank out some guest material in a hurry.
Trying to decide whether Gravedust, Byron, or Syr’Nj would be best in that “relative prude” role. It’s a bit of a toss-up, TBH.
Bess and Papa Rabe, AKA Alexander Klein, were collaborators on a comic known as The Bess Effect. Today, Rabe can be seen as the head of his personal Creative Breakout Studio, but I can’t determine where Bess went, if she’s still online at all.
Does the Bess Effect happen when you don’t serve the shit elf bard any T?
Ah, I don’t know about the Bess Effect, but I believe the Best Effect occurs when you plug a shit elf bard inside an electrical appliance. The elf bard then distort the local gravity, making the whole universe resolve around him.
There are hushed talks of tentacled monstrosities from outer space, coming to wipe out all sentient life in the universe where the Best Effect is occurring.
They didn’t even mention the bitch riding the donkey!
Of the three “relative prude” choices, I’d argue that Syr’Nj would of fit better since I’d most easily buy her being curious about the book. I’d have thought Gravy would just ignore it.
