Here’s the first handful of Guild-itizations, a backer reward for anyone who pledged $125 and over on the Volume 2 FRIGGSTARTER. Since each of the backers provided their own bios for their characters, we’ll just give them to you straight from each horse’s mouth:

“Rendermaw is a Xylo-bone player, using his instrument to inspire and give battlefield instructions to his Land Shark buddies. He sees the humanoid races as a plague upon this world that must be destroyed before they take over everything. He has a fierce hatred for elves, and will attack them first in any combat.”

“Gungier was initially set to be inducted into the Mystic order, and had gone through the early rites to become a petitioner of sorts, learning basic prayers and rites. Before any actual mystical learning, the last of the Mystics died out under mysterious circumstances (Gungier, like most Savasi save Gravy-train, has no idea Iver was behind this. He would likely have been spared as he was not really into the depth of the Mystic order, still a young warrior rather than a true member of the practice). Having long wanted to be a Mystic and so being possessed of a deep faith, and being left without anyone to learn from, it left Gungier with a deep spiritual crisis and loss of faith. Feeling what connection he had to his people was shattered, he left the Savasi lands, wandering the deserts at random. (Note: The two strips of cloth with Savasi symbols are all that remains of his accouterments while petitioning to be a Mystic, hence why he tries to keep repairing them.)

During his travels, Gungier initially had little resources and so had to learn to do without and spend as much time not being seen or heard as opposed to charging into battle. This served well as the fury of his people, the fire that guides most Savasi into battle, had left him. His wanderings took him eventually into mercenary companies where he learned his unique rope-dart fighting style, which pleased him in how different it was from his former people. He learned to hide, sneak and steal as much as fight, though he does retain a deep sense of honor, the same drive that drove him to the Mystics in the first place.

Overall, he’s a wandering mercenary who’s unique combination of quick, stealthy movement but Savasi toughness could garner him much coin, but he rarely stays in one place to accumulate it. He continues to be plagued by a sense of unease and lack of belonging, still trying to replace the enthusiasm and will he had when he thought he was to be a Mystic. He has a light-hearted exterior however, as he’s long since recognized his own issues with himself and found a dark humor in how it prevents him from settling down.”

“Brother Markus is one of the few remaining remnants of the long-lost Dusk Elves, a sect of Wood Elves who were exiled from B’ial Vezk to the Grove of the Ur-Animals… and like the Ur-Animals, became corrupted. During his time there, he and a few of his Dusk Elf brethren discovered that the Grove of the Ur-Animals was a naturally occurring font of the same chaotic magicks that fuel the Order of the Countless Limbs. Sporting his devilishly good looks and an Ironwood Maul, Brother Markus leads his fellows, following suit with the Order of the Countless Limbs, sewing chaos and destruction wherever they may travel.”

I’m really freakin’ delighted with how these guys came out, and I can’t wait to show off more of them tomorrow! Hope everyone’s enjoying their holiday, or Regular Thursday depending on where you live.

Just eat a bunch and relax, whoever you are, wherever you are. Forever, if possible.
