Frigg, however, would obviously prefer Axemas to be as improper as possible.

Work clothes. The biggest letdown of any holiday present ever given.

Past a certain age, a good pair of work socks or a decent windbreaker is a better gift than the latest greatest Blu Ray.

Physical media? That “certain age” was about ten yeas ago.

My mom made me a jacket that fits. Best gift ever.

Every kid hates getting socks and underwear.

Every college student is disappointed at the lack of new socks and underwear.

Gear includes, but is not limited to: bags of holding, (magical) jewelry, toys (all those pesky fetch quests), musical instruments (bard), paintings and other valuable items (overachieving thiefs), herbs (healers) and even actual gears (thank you engineer).

“…adventurers’ previous visits that didn’t go so well”

Now I’m thinking of a similar scene in Seven Samurai.

Nice! I hadn’t even thought of that possible reference, so I’m glad you did. :D

Most of that gear looks like it belonged to the Savage Races so it’s probably for the best that they’re leaving early since that’s bound to open up some wounds.

There’s plenty of weapons intended to inflict wounds, so I think someone’s getting hurt either way.

“In the Air”. I feel like she doesnt mean what Byron thinks she means. Also that other seemingly throw away line about her never getting a chance to talk to adventurers again makes me wonder about the elves survival…

Between that and “Oh, they’ve got PLENTY to talk about,” I’m guessing that the discussion in the cold light of day about what agreeing that they have common goals means in real, practical action, is going to get…heated.

Much as I would’ve preferred that Weo’s gender had remained ambiguous (because I actually couldn’t tell, and I wanted to preserve the mystery), he has been identified as male by the villagers.

Awww, no more fraternizing with the enemy? I was looking forward to bickering over whose holiday traditions are the weirdest. ^_^

Same, except that I don’t have any! Other than turning fruitcake into candy and gingerbread for that one lady a few miles away who has her whole house made out of the stuff. And honestly, if I wanted a cake of fruit, I could just mix some spare orange slices, oatmeal, and voila! Fruitcake that actually tastes decent!

Odd that he thinks it will be hard to find “gifts” for the world rebellion champions, most of the gear seems to be from their side.

Have you ever looked into a dark basement with no light in it? He parity much sees some of the closer items but the rest is bits glinting in the darkness.
