Annotated 25-12
A group storytelling roundtable seems like a great way for this gang to pass the time, as long as no one asks Scipio to do it and Bert keeps it clean. NOBODY ON THEIR PHONES HERE, AMIRITE?
Putting Bert across from Fr’Nj in this scene probably reflected my intentions to ship them, which weren’t entirely dead at this point. But of course, Scipio joins the gang before long, having finished his arm-wrestling with Sundar satisfactorily.
I like Fr’Nj’s line a lot, refined by Phil from my “I’m proud of you.” Of course, it’s also the sort of thing Rachel might say if she weren’t way too close to the parties involved. Still, the real triumph here is E-Merl’s.
I never realized Bandit was in the background in the fourth panel. lol
Whoa, Fr’Nj and Bert? That takes me by surprise.
“You’re tellin’ me.”
Bandit is really channeling her inner Dr. Seuss in that last panel.
E-Merl looks so terrified in his imagining of sex with Frigg.
It’s hard to see how it could ever work out between the two of them. E-Merl’s a romantic and Frigg has a *very* pragmatic attitude toward sexual attraction.
Is Scipio sitting on top of Bert’s crutches, or did he push them to the floor?
Scipio could easily reposition those crutches so they’re balanced in the space between him and Bert, which might not be the politest thing to do without asking but would still leave them within easy reach if Bert needed to get up and use the latrine.
I mean, the way Bert had them laid down wasn’t the most polite thing, to begin with, so I could give Scip a pass on that.
Once again E-Merl makes the mature choices that I have, in retrospect, wished I had made.
The man really would be a great role model, if he could just lay off the self criticism a bit.
