Annotated 36-23
Scipio’s style of interrogation has always been to motivate people to talk and get out of the way of those already motivated. He needs to direct this discussion a little, but only with a few words here and there. (This is a lot more specific than the monologue Astoria Troy interrupted, which wasn’t really revealing any more information than “Yep, we’re all Cultists, all right.”)

These berserker spirits seem to enter through wounds, fatal or otherwise, as they did with Byron this time… but what happened to Brother Tom’s body demonstrates that they can also enter by other means. It is well known Kahn and Campbell drank from the Basin of Foresight before Best got to it and made like half of this comic in a Nostradamus-like state of fever dream because it’s during these annotations we see that a lot of way ahead of their time they’ve nailed some shit that happened in our EveryColorIncludingSepia World.
Maybe Brother Tom is not a fictional character after all… ThinkinEmoji.jpg
I think Sam Raimi would be pleased if he saw this brief homage
