Around here, Scipio’s eyes change. We’ve seen emotion out of him before, but this is different, this is sustained. He finally understands the scale of the Cultists’ plans here, and it’s the scariest situation he’s ever walked into. He won’t go back to his squint for a while after this.
Which is not to say fear makes him any less effective. He doesn’t even need to look at the Cultist in panel 3 to finish the kill. We’re done here, and he’s got more important problems now.
That battering ram seems… unlikely to succeed against the Winter’s Gale, but consistent attacks do have a chance of wearing it down.
