Annotated 43-21
FB: “It never fails: when any comics series runs long enough, there’s always some kind of reboot.”
So that’s it for WAV…sort of? We will see later that Best remembers his life as WAV, and he even resurrects him as part of a “one man band” of his personas. Still, this feels like a death as well as a rebirth, like Best has to kill off the previous version of himself, since he and WAV can’t really coexist. But we all have to kill off earlier versions of ourselves at some point, right? The Best we’re about to get here is a throwback, but he won’t be around forever, either.
I guess we could’ve had WAV remember his old life as Best and still remain the dominant personality, but I think you’ll agree there’s gonna be a lot more conflict this way.
This wasn’t what Best was wearing when he fell into the portal. Does that mean something?
Yes.
Oh dangit, now that’s gonna keep me awake tonight trying to figure out what it is!
I think it was what’s Best for him.

:D
Just because Alt Text often hurts you with a lousy pun doesn’t mean you have to Payet forward.
Oh look, it’s Payet Best. Who knew. Not excited to have you back.
Perfect attire for the climate, too.
Ok but with the alt-text I’d absolutely love it if it were just someone completely different. Like the suit rips apart to Bandit going “…how did I get here and why is Byron alive *again*?”
“Okay, gang! Time to see who WAV really is!”
“OLD MAN JENKINS? But, why???”
It’s just as disappointing the second time through. Best unexpectedly became a good person in Cyberia, but, somehow, old Best manages to undo that and come back.
Not a great time and place to trade the thermo regulated sci-fi suit for a topless outfit.
