Annotated 48-10
As a big project comes to a close, looking in on a few characters from its beginnings can be rewarding for the writers and the readers. For a “man on the street” perspective, we could’ve enlisted Emory and Henry, the farmers who employed Byron in Chapter 1. But they were a comically ignorant duo and their main habitat was outside the city proper.
So instead, we went with a few Chapter 2 supporting characters. Privates Brad and Paul are the two cops who dissed and disappointed Syr’Nj; Tignos is the merchant Byron tried selling to, based very loosely on Tim Gunn.
FB: Tignos has taken the temperature of the marketplace and launched his new initiative, PROJECT RUN AWAY.
Paul and Brad – or at least the tall one – look different enough under Jason’s pen vs Erica’s that I probably wouldn’t have pegged them as the same ones without the mention…even had I remembered how they looked.
I kind of remembered the faces but could not place them anywhere. Good thing you can just click on their names and get a reminder that we’ve actually encountered them twice already (second time they were standing in between the House gates and a bunch of protesting adventurers, acting like their duty was really important).
Tignos, however, although I had no idea what his name was, was instantly recognizable, which says something since I managed to forget about Sundar between his first appearance and the Fightopia storyline, and I frequently lose track of what’s going on in any parallel storyline that hasn’t come up for half a chapter.
It’s Glowy Hammershit Time!
