Guilded Age

One more “hands on hands” cover, because just about every nerd epic since Lord of the Rings has to include a few self-homages in its conclusion. Best’s and Gravedust’s new outfits and the fiery background give this one a little extra sizzle.

Flo and I didn’t exactly plan the division of labor for this chapter. We just kind of worked it out as we went, and we worked together smoothly enough that I don’t even recall too much about our discussions. I know that I ended up turning the battle scene over to Flo about halfway through it, and I know Flo turned the wheel over to me almost completely after that battle climaxed. We were almost conflict-free, which was perhaps ironic, given how much HR’s final moments served to reflect our creative frustrations as well as our pride. But we’ll get to all that!
