Frigg told those two gnome professors previously that the next time she played chess she would do to the White Queen something very similiar to what she is about to do to that tank.
Each page is drawn on ordinary 8 1/2 by 11 printer paper, the actual image area being 7 by 9 1/4 inches (I have not gotten used to pencilling digitally, don’t think I ever will. I’ve been drawing on real paper for… well, a long time.)
The penciled page is scanned, and then inked digitally with Manga Studio EX 4.0., and then colored in PhotoShop, coloring characters and environments on separate layers makes isolating and manipulating “foreground” and “background” elements a lot easier.
Rude! It left fast, without even a tanks for coming.
You suck orange crush!
Those gnomes look hammered.
“Hullfuck” Love it.
This. So very much this.
Yepyep…that was exactly the comment I was going to make.
I misread that. I thought she said nullfuck. I was gonna make a crack about that giving new meaning to hack and slash.
Frigg wins everything with that comment :D
Alphanumeric!
yet another reason why i love Frigg
Uh-oh, that tank just might leave this city a Gnome-mans land
*groan* Tanks a lot man. Tanks a lot.
A place only our ginger tank-girl dare tread.
I, for one, welcome our new tank-girl overlords.
If that’s a tank girl…Is there a jet girl, too?
Meanwhile, the scientists are going to have a tonne of explaining to do. The townsfolk will want all the details of this weighty matter.
I suspect Frigg will weigh-in on the debate with her usual bluntness to help make things clearer.
No worries, Frigg is about to hull some ass; I’m sure they’ll catch up.
This is why we don’t name our new mega-weapons “White Queen”
what’s this a reference to?
Frigg told those two gnome professors previously that the next time she played chess she would do to the White Queen something very similiar to what she is about to do to that tank.
There’s fanart and everything.
There is also the infamous “Jump the Queen” in History of the World, Part I.
Looks like the party’s on a rebound.
I’m sure they’ll bounce back
Hope springs eternal
That tank looks like one of the fighters in the Darkstalkers games.
Gotta love the facial expressions in panels 2 and 3. :-)
Looks like that’d make a great theme park ride.
Also gotta love how adaptive Frigg’s language is. :-)
looks like everyone is having a falling out.
Seriously though, E-merl is such an understated badass, he’s everything I want to be in life ^_^
I was just thinking that. Good instincts and good use of a limited spell set.
I just want to go base jumping with him.
I’m wondering when he’s going to start getting groupies within the story. So many opportunities for magician puns.
Well, the situation took a pretty unexspected spin.
His shield that blocks ANYTHING (at least physical so far?) can extend to the whole party?
REALLY?
Well damn. Just get a bunch of ranged/wizards on top of them and keep cycling that on and off to allow shots out and nothing in.
It seems like it takes a little bit to spin up to that size and also seems to barely fit all of them.
Aye, they were packed in like sardines. Appropriate after the fish horn got smoked. And now Frigg is off to make the young skipper into kippers.
Well, they knew something smelled fishy before they came into gnometown.
I feel it! I feel the cosmos!
I guess maybe those extra three metres weren’t such a great choice after all.
They SAID they needed ten meters!
Aw, look at Rachel taking care of the unconscious gnome. She tries to be badass like Frigg, but she just cares too much.
That’s the one who felt her up last episode. She’s probably making sure he’s alive so she can kick his ass. Frigg-style.
I’m certain there was some additional feeling in that bubble.
the hammertank is too far away to be heard now, but I’m positive that it’s shouting “EXTERMINATE!” repeatedly as it rolls along.
I’m suddenly struck by the similarities between Hammermech and Blitzcrank for LoL.
That game was even more dangerous to my productivity than WoW itself. Like if WoW was just the fun parts.
Horrifying.
Played Skyrim yet?
I’m surprised to get here at 6pm and discover that nobody’s complimented the art in panel 3. This is not an easy action scene to depict.
Thank you, ahdok.
Out of interest, how big do you draw each physical image? (or do you start digitally?)
A very good question, ahdok.

… Srsly? 8.5X11? That’s kind of…insane? Impressive? Something that begins with ‘i’, in any case. o.o
