For some reason I just imagined, reading today’s comic, Rachel as being like the lead female character in a very strange movie I saw once – I bet no one else remembers it – Romeo is Bleeding.
Anyone who does know what I’m talking about may see what I’m saying there. Everyone else, feel free to think I’m weird. :P
Nunsense! Frigg is so easy to push, Rachel will have her doing one-handed pushups in no time. Frigg might as well legally change her name to ‘Big Red Button’. :)
Frigg’s not playing horseshoes, whenever she shoes a horse she just throws them on and they stay in place because they’re too scared of her to fall off
I especially love how the avatar for this response is the snarling Frigg image. XD And how the one right above it is sneaky hiding not-amused Frigg. 8)
Seth almost has it right, Frigg isn’t throwing the horse shoe but she’s not catching it either.
If you take another look you will see that she is standing there with both arms spread while somebody throws them at her. You didn’t really think Frigg is hard-headed by accident did you?; requirz lotz of practiz that.
Eh. religious types tend to be either good at manipulating or being manipulated. Like it or not, Frigg’s ahem “Magical supershit” means she has a divine connection and it’s not going away
Honestly I was sure this page would start off with violence considering Rachel’s body tackle but I guess the party is sort of rubbing off on Frigg a bit.
You know I’ve always loved “bitch” as an insult because it means two entirely different things depending on the gender of the recipient. If you call a female a bitch it means she is cruel, mean or otherwise a terrible person. If you call a male a bitch it means he is weak, pitiful or that he frequently bends his knee to others. Normally when you use it on someone they’ll be offended based on one of those two implications.
Frigg is someone I can see taking offence to both meanings at the same time.
And yet the word’s actual *meaning* is so prosaic, simply denoting a female of the canine persuasion. What’s so mean, terrible, weak, or pitiful about that?
Oh yeah. Because men in some (presumably) far off century of our checkered past decided that females were weak and dogs weren’t worthy of respect either.
Clearly, that culture was unfamiliar with the badass that is a female wolf.
*grin* [Pardon the randomness of my replies today. I am hopped up on caffeine and woozy from watching over my kid.]
Hmm, possible possible. I suppose one problem there might be that they would not know entirely how Rachel might react to being told that one of their members is harboring an old god that turns him into a bloodythristy killing machine that murdered….oh wait, that part is a secret….
But anyway, I think that Frigg still did a rather good job. Did a decent deal of talking and hit on several sore spots Byron had. Rachel might have gotten better results, but is a bit of a moot point at the moment.
Frigg is probably my favourite GA character so far. As such, I have to say I have mixed feelings with how she’s being one-upped by these new characters in order to show off their talents.
That said, I have hopes that she will return to being a dependable and powerful character in the future, but at this point the only ones who haven’t proven themselves by besting her are Gravedust, E-Merl, and Bandit.
-nods- Hehe, yes if you look carefully it does seem to be italized. Possibly alternative would have been to use a sigh word effect instead of wrod bubble but -shrugs-
It’s all about what pressure points to hit.
I did not think it possible for Rachel’s badassery level to go any higher. And it JUST. DID. *w*
I think she may even surpass Frigg in badassery…
This is badass with a smile.

I thought Romeo is Bleeding was a Tom Waits song? Which does not conradict the badass, I admit.
Gary Oldman and Lena Olin. Great movie.
I do believe Frigg is having nun of that.
Nuntheless, it’s there. She’ll have to prove she’s not a wimple now.
I pray that Rachel knows what she is doing.
someone is looking to be the mother superior..
Must we have a “nun of that” pun every time Rachel appears on a page? It’s a terrible habit, and you deserve a smack on the wrist for it.
Of course it’s necessary. By this point, it’s a ruler.
And gloriously appropriate avatar.
Nunsense! Frigg is so easy to push, Rachel will have her doing one-handed pushups in no time. Frigg might as well legally change her name to ‘Big Red Button’. :)
I can’t help but think that Rachel, when thinking of Frigg, would love to be the nun of her lip….
Okay, I get the sharkman wrestling and other adventurer activities…. But horseshoes? Frigg? Uwha?
You know, it doesn’t really look like she just threw the horseshoe. It looks like she’s about to catch it.
Much better than trying to catch hand grenades.
Horseshoe throwing. Google it :D
I said the same thing, but remember it’s a medieval fantasy setting. Ain’t like they have an Xbox lying around; you gotta make your own fun.
Frigg can actually crochet a mean quilt in her down-time.
Seriously, it’ll make you weep to see it.
Horseshoes say it all. In this case: “That’s quoit enough, Rachel.”

That’s how Frigg shoe’s horse’s. She throws shoes at them until they stick.

requirz lotz of practiz that.
This gets my vote.
THERE WAS A FIRE-FIIIIGGHT!
Rachel is joy, and Frigg, as always, is hilarious.
lol troll’d
Who is training who!?
Cue “I’ll make a man out of you!” montage.
Oh, Rachel, how I love you even more. :-) You’re not as naive as one would think.
Frigg-baiting. All the fun, and none of the poofy clothing or red capes.
Well she still has poofy clothing.
Perverse Psychology triumphs again!
What?
Reverse!?
Oh dear, oh, that would explain the…I have to make a call.
Rachel used the “Divine Guidance VII” prayer for that one!
But Frigg, Rachel only assaults you and calls you a little bitch because she cares.
Somehow, I think Frigg’ll buy that line about as much as most divorce courts.
That’s an attention-grabber.
I find your gravatar massively appropriate.
Frigg has a beautiful swan-like neck.
It must suck to be that easily manipulated. Frigg really must work on that.
Eh. religious types tend to be either good at manipulating or being manipulated. Like it or not, Frigg’s ahem “Magical supershit” means she has a divine connection and it’s not going away
I didn’t know paladins had ‘Taunt’.
Righteous Defense, yo.
Oh God, I play too much World of Warcraft.
Depends on your edition.
I’m actually shocked…. that Frigg has evolved enough to use her words and not lead directly into the last panel with a fist or other heavy object.
Honestly I was sure this page would start off with violence considering Rachel’s body tackle but I guess the party is sort of rubbing off on Frigg a bit.
That’s why it was the Best of times.

Inb4 “Thank you, Ted. That was the joke”.

Not that there’s anything terribly unfortunate about that.
Ah. Two so simple words. “FUCK OFF!” And yet, the other persons allways seem to stay…
Fuck off.
Nah…
That face in the last panel. Magnificence.
I guess Rachel doesn’t take fuck for an answer.
Or off.
Contained in this post is the number of fucks Rachel gives.
Button *pushed*
“Someone pushed the Emergency Parole Button!”
I was wondering when she’d figure it out.
hahaha, it seems rachel is catching on!
But of course! She is one of Frigg’s “disciples” after all. ;)
Seriously. Syr could have used RACHEL to make Byron go berserk, she would have succeeded where Frigg failed.
Hmm, possible possible. I suppose one problem there might be that they would not know entirely how Rachel might react to being told that one of their members is harboring an old god that turns him into a bloodythristy killing machine that murdered….oh wait, that part is a secret….

All the same -nods- a topic to consider.
I can see a little thought bubble from Rachel, saying “Too easy.”
Didn’t ya know? Frigg lives on Easy Street.
The fact that Frigg DIDNT instantly punch Rachel speaks volumes of her patience…
AH! NOW she’s talking in a language Frigg understands!
Reading Rachel’s taunts is a little like hearing your parents try to use modern slang.
A classic case of trolls getting trolled. A common mistake of fledgling trolls is to care. About anything.
HAHA! This is shit is ON!

I think she could take out Byron when he’s in a non-berserking state.
Who actually *says* “sigh,” rather than doing it?
its *sigh* (sheesh)
:)
-nods- Hehe, yes if you look carefully it does seem to be italized. Possibly alternative would have been to use a sigh word effect instead of wrod bubble but -shrugs-
lol panel 6:
“potty training”
/troll
Rachel, you are officially my favorite person, despite how drastically you just reduced your life expectancy.
I can’t help wonder if Sharkman just randomly challenged Frigg to a fight or that Rachel just decided to train Frigg in the heat of battle.
Rachel’s badassness level it’s OVER 9000!
This am new grav
*ma
Frigg’s buttons are big, red and shiny.
Oh yas.
